YouTube is testing a new feature that allows creators to edit videos to remove age restrictions or restore videos deleted for violating community guidelines. Previously, creators could only wait for appeal results if their videos were age-restricted or removed. Now, eligible creators will see new content editing options in YouTube Studio. After editing, YouTube will review the changes and may lift restrictions or warnings. Creators can still choose to appeal without editing. YouTube states that creators with access to advanced features can use this editing function. This is particularly useful for creators who may have overlooked certain content during editing or are unfamiliar with YouTube’s latest policy changes. As YouTube introduces more AI-assisted video production tools, the platform needs to develop policies to regulate AI use in videos.
