YouTube announced Thursday it’s extending its course creation feature, allowing more creators to offer paid educational content.
Sarah Johnson, YouTube’s Creator Relations Head, stated, “This provides monetization opportunities for educators and structured learning for users.”
Features include free or paid options, quizzes, and completion badges.
Expert Tom Brown said, “This positions YouTube as a competitor to platforms like Udemy.”
YouTube plans a gradual rollout, signaling its ambition in the e-learning market.
