Tinder announced major updates to its Tinder U feature for college students on Wednesday. The changes include new profile badges showing graduation year and majors, and a simplified sign-up process.
Stephanie Danzi, Tinder’s SVP of Global Marketing, stated, “These updates make campus connections easier and more relevant.”
The company is offering U.S. students 50% off premium subscriptions and launched its annual “Swipe Off” challenge with a free concert prize.
Despite reports of declining app usage among students, Tinder claims 90% year-over-year growth for Tinder U.
These moves aim to boost Tinder’s appeal in the competitive youth dating market.
