Recognizing songs by listening to them is a common feature of many music apps, and TikTok is introducing similar features to the short video field.
According to TechCrunch, the short video platform TikTok is gray-scale testing the “Sound Search” feature, where users can find the tracks they want to listen to and related short video content by just humming, singing or playing songs.
TikTok said that the feature is built specifically for finding songs, but it can also be used to find some popular sounds or hot memes. TikTok users only need to click the microphone icon in the “Search” option. The feature is currently only available to a small number of users, and is expected to be launched to more users in the future.
