TikTok announced Monday the rollout of its revamped “Subscription” feature to eligible creators in 10 markets, including the US, UK, and Japan. This expansion allows non-live content creators to offer exclusive perks to paying subscribers.
The new feature includes tiered pricing, exclusive content, and custom benefits. It marks TikTok’s entry into the subscription-based content market, challenging platforms like Patreon and Instagram Subscriptions.
“We’re empowering creators with tools to build sustainable careers on TikTok,” a company spokesperson said.
TikTok plans to expand the feature to additional markets in coming weeks, potentially reshaping social media monetization strategies.
