Only “Tech” Needs Musk!

Elon Musk has announced plans to resign from his role at the U.S. Government Efficiency Department (DOGE) by the end of May. He criticized systemic inefficiencies, waste, and fraud within the government, claiming he can cut spending by 15% without compromising essential services.

Musk also raised concerns about the financial status of congressional members. He highlighted that many lawmakers, despite earning annual salaries of 200,000,have a massed personal wealth exceeding 200,000,have amassed personal wealth exceeding 20 million. “How do you accumulate such fortunes on such incomes?” he questioned.

Trump’s Response
On March 31, U.S. President Donald Trump addressed Musk’s impending departure during a White House press briefing. While signing an executive order, Trump praised Musk’s efforts and predicted his eventual return to the private sector.

“After completing federal reforms, [Musk] will ultimately go back to running his companies,” Trump told The Hill. He added, “Musk’s 130-day term is ending soon, but his work here is nearly done. He’ll have to return to his businesses someday.”
