Google announced new verification rules for financial services advertisers in Ireland, New Zealand, South Korea, and Thailand, starting November 7, 2024.
Advertisers must complete a two-step process:
- G2 Compliance to verify licensing.
- Google Financial Verification to be classified as “First Party” or “Authorized Advertiser.”
Failure to verify by the deadline will block ads in these regions. This policy aims to improve transparency and reduce fraud in online financial ads.
