Elon Musk’s xAI Seeks Billions in New Funding, Eyes $40 Billion Valuation

Elon Musk’s AI company, xAI, is reportedly in talks to raise billions in new funding at a valuation of approximately $40 billion, nearly doubling its current valuation of $24 billion, as per The Wall Street Journal. This follows the $6 billion Series B round xAI raised in May.

Founded last year, xAI quickly developed its Grok model, which supports features on Musk’s social platform, X. xAI recently introduced an enterprise API and is training new Grok models using a powerful infrastructure of 100,000 Nvidia GPUs. Musk claims that data from X provides a unique advantage for xAI, which recently amended its privacy policy to allow third-party model training on X’s data.
